Welcome to St Denys Church of England Infant School.
We are a busy and thriving school in the large village of Ibstock. Our aim is to give your child the best start to their education and help them to reach their full potential. It is of real importance to the staff that the children enjoy school and enjoy their learning. We are a friendly and welcoming school where you will feel you can become a partner in your child's learning. We want you to feel that you can ask us any questions.
The school provides for the education of children from 4 to 7 years and in addition we have a 10 place unit for children with Moderate Learning Difficulties. All children take part in a broad curriculum which covers areas of the National Curriculum through year group topics. In addition we welcome outside visitors who can bring more of the topic to life with their particular skills.
We also arrange visits out of school including visits to churches and other places of worship. As a Church of England Infant School we work closely with our local church St Denys in Ibstock including being the venue for the monthly St Denys' Messy Church and Open the Book Assemblies. We also have links with the Ibstock Baptist Church Foodbank and the Diocese of Leicester.
We are part of Forest Way Teaching School and North West Leicestershire Sports Partnership. St Denys CE Infant School has diverse range of after school activities that children are welcome to join.
We do look forward to meeting and working with you as parents. If you are a newcomer to Ibstock and would like to visit the school, you will be very welcome.
