A Warm Welcome to St Denys CE Infant School Website!

St Denys is a happy, caring and successful infant school in the large village of Ibstock in North West Leicestershire. We have an enthusiastic and committed staff who provide high quality learning opportunities. The school is well regarded within the community and has supportive and generous parents.

The current site was built in 1974 and has been extended several times, but the history of the original school can be traced back through records books dated 1890! Currently there are 180 children on roll. St Denys also has a successful Special Unit for ten children with Moderate Learning Difficulties. All our children are encouraged to reach their full potential and their achievements are recognised, valued and celebrated. The school sets high standards of behaviour and achievement but ultimately aims to make learning challenging and fun. There are excellent relationships with parents, between staff and children and between the children themselves.

The school provides a curriculum which is greatly enhanced by a broad programme of extra curricular opportunities, educational visits and after school clubs.
