Silver Birch

Welcome to Silver Birch Class.

Mrs. Standen, Mrs. Beanland and Mrs. Baker work in our class.

January to February 2017

This half term's topic is Animals. We will be learning about different types of animals and their needs in Science, differences while children have been growing up and comparing to their parents and grandparents time as children in History and writing animal stories and poems in English. We will use clay in Art and design and make bird feeders in DT.

Useful information.

Your child is encouraged to change their reading book at the beginning of each day.  As the children become better readers and more confident with their phonics and understanding, they will be reading longer books which may then take 2 or 3 days to read.

Library day is Tuesday when children can bring their library book into school to change.

P.E. days are on Wednesday and Thursday. Please can children with earrings either have them taken out at home, or be provided with tape to keep them safe during these lessons. Outdoor P.E. is on a Thursday, weather permitting, so outdoor P.E. kit can be either brought in on that day or left in school.
