The school, which is situated in the village of Ibstock, population approximately 6000, was built in three stages. The first wing, an open plan teaching area with a large hall attached, was opened in 1974, a small classroom for children with special educational needs was completed in 1977 and a further open plan wing and studio were added in 1980. We also have three mobile classrooms. The school, with the existing accommodation, can cater for approximately 180 children from four to seven years of age.
